Want of the Week: Otomi Textiles
Craft//DIY
Having a long history of handicraft love I was very excited to see Jacaranda's Otomi textiles. Each canvas is hand embroidered by the Otomi people of Mexico, taking up to three months to complete. The materials are made from natural fibers (no synthetics) and the results are gorgeous.

Otomi textiles are availble at the Mexican Textiles Museum Store as well. Their stock covers both multicolored and monochromatic patterns. I'm a big fan of the orange designs.

Both sites feature other home decor such as table runners and wall hangings. The Musuem Store also has a small section for purses and placemats.
