Let's be honest: shopping on the Internet can be an incredibly convenient experience or an endlessly stressful pain in the hindquarters, depending on how much of a deal you're trying to find or how rare the item you're searching for happens to be at that moment (I'm looking at you, Nintendo Wii).

Woot! offers an alternative option: only sell one thing at at time, and offer (usually) a substantial discount. There is, of course, a catch.

One of the most unexpectedly delightful things about the Internet is the way it can bring to your attention insight into the extraordinary passions of people you’ve never met (and probably never will). Case in point: Jeff Varasano and his deep commitment to the craft of creating the best New York pizza outside of New York City.

Don’t mistake this man for a casual pizza aficionado—he is serious about his ingredients, his recipe, and his technique. He explains the particulars of his pizza process in amazing detail on his website.

Haagen-Daz's, Help the Honey Bees campaign is drawing attention to an important issue. "More than 25 percent of the Western honey bee population has disappeared over the last several winters."

Why should you care? Because over one-third of all the foods we eat are pollenated by bees. Imagine a world without strawberries, cherries, or almonds. That means no Rocky Road or strawberry shortcake. Plus, no honey!

Although it is unclear why honey bees are dying off in such large numbers researchers are working hard to find a solution to Colony Collapse Disorder. Check out their site and see how you can help, then make your own custom bee. Mine is to the left.

Every trip to NYC no matter the weather; swampy, freezing or perfect fall, I must have my Hot Nuts. It's not that I'm a street food junky or nut nut, there's just something about that little parchment bag. On the huge list of things that I love about New York, the Hot Nuts vendors are probably in my top ten.

So you would think that between visits I'd whip up a batch or two to tide me over. But I never do. Until now. Sure this blog is all about France but I know Hot Nuts when I see em. And the recipe does look appallingly easy. So I'm thinking of stirring some up, pouring in a bag and walking around downtown. That should hold me for a little while.

Forget Andre the Giant, you need to obey Oleander the Owl. Dare not gaze into her eyes too long unless you’re looking for a fight. Do not let the gentle calico patterns that adorns her fool you, for she will snatch your soul, or at least your heart. You must take note and respect the lace trim and assorted notions that make her positively adorable.

But wait there’s more. Made of wools and a cotton quilted patchwork that covers her belly and underarms. She is 12.5” (32cm) tall and is able to stand on her own. Obviously with all these bells and whistles Oleander is not suitable for small children. She is an original creation and a one-of-a-kind.

Many years ago, when I was good, my sister would let me listen to her record/8 track player. It had the hugest headphones ever. Which made it perfect for listening to Disco Duck.

Finally, some truly huge headphones that are iPhone compatible and bright red. Because although at the gym or on the go tiny ear buds are best, you can not beat a dark room with your favorite songs surrounding your ears.

Complete with soft ear padding and light brown leather headband. As well as a slim call button and in-line microphone, it’s perfect for making calls in style. It also includes standard and iPhone compatible 3.5mm and 1.4" adapters for use with multiple devices.

Simply adorable and completely Japanese, the Shinzi Katoh glasses are tea and soup ready. I think they’re just calling out for a rainy day and some grilled cheese. They come in loads of designs, all mix and match.

What’s not to love about a sad bunny? And this one seems really upset. Or maybe he’s just a bit shy because no one has brought him home yet. I can’t see that lasting too much longer.

He’s handmade, with cotton, linen and pure new wool, then stuffed with premium polyester toy filling. Towering over lesser softies at 16.5" from ears to toes and 11.5" from arm to arm. That’s a lot of bunny to love.
